Seese was founded by Irene Arango, an architect and the projectās creative director. Her starting point was never the object itself, but the atmosphere. From the beginning, Irene sought ways to create well-being through light. Her fascination with warm lighting, and the emotional effect it has on those who experience it, led her to design the first pieces. Today, the process is collective. Itās built by women who give life to lamps capable of articulating entire environments: their form, their weave, and their glow reveal what the space longs to express.
Over time, weāve developed a language of our own.
Our sensibility has taken shape through projects, collaborations, and journeys, but it has also been enriched by Ireneās experiences in different parts of the world. Now based in Milan, she continues to deepen her perspective through a masterās degree in interior design.
That intersection between the local and the international, the structural and the delicate, defines the way we create. Seese is signature design, revealed in the way each luminaire finds its place.
Our luminaires create bonds: with the women who weave them, with the crafts that make them possible, and with the territories that provide their materials.
Most of our collaborators are women. Many are mothers and the main providers in their families. They receive training, fair pay, and dignified conditions to practice their craft.
We use local materials, avoid waste, and produce only what is necessary. We design pieces made to last and renew their weaves when the time is right.
Each project creates jobs and generates income for those involved. We value the work for what it takes, and for the network of people who make it possible.
For Seese, sustainability means respecting the rhythm of the work, paying what itās worth, and caring for the resources we use.
Each handcrafted lamp is delivered with the same care it was designed with. We support interior designers, architects, and clients throughout every stage: from custom design to final installation.
Our operations leader in BogotĆ” is Catalina, an industrial engineer with more than twenty years of experience in the field. She supervises production, coordinates visits, and ensures that every piece meets the technical and aesthetic standards that define us.
