In collaboration with Studio Crearq, we designed a floral-inspired hanging sculpture made of terlenka yarn strands, spanning over 1.5 meters in diameter, for the lobby of Viajero Hostels in Miami. This piece was entirely handwoven in our BogotĆ” workshop by women artisans from different regions of Colombia and shipped as a single structure to be installed as the visual centerpiece of the communal space.
The project also included 58 lighting fixtures: some designed from scratch, others adapted from existing pieces through colorful acrylic fringe interventions. This collaboration shows how a contemporary design approach, rooted in architectural thinking and artisanal technique, can deliver aesthetic solutions tailored to ambitious hospitality projects.
